Redistribution and Subscriber Fees

There are three types of fees that exchanges charge:

• Redistribution Fees: These are fees exchanges charge that apply to web sites, data sellers and organizations that collect and redistribute data. In general, redistribution fees apply to firms (or individuals who act like firms), who pass data along to another person or firm. For example, Barchart / DDF pays redistribution fees.
  
  
• Subscriber Fees: These are fees exchanges charge that are paid by individuals (sometimes by firms) who are the end recipients or subscribers of data. In general, subscriber fees only apply to real-time data.
  
  
• Data Feed Surcharges:  These are fees the exchanges charge that apply to firms which receive a data feed whether or not the data is used internally only or redistributed externally.

Redistribution Fees

If you intend to redistribute delayed or real-time data for an exchange, you are required to contract with that exchange for redistribution rights. Further, if you are redistributing real-time data, your customers are subject to subscriber fees from the exchange(s).

Monthly subscriber fees for real-time data are charged on a per-user basis:
